Matt Pop update

It has been a while since my last post, but I have a good excuse: I have been working my butt off on a series of remixes for the pop-tastic people at Almighty Records. They are all new versions of 80’s Hi-NRG dance tracks, and of 2 more recent hits. Some of the original recordings are loved passionately by many pop fans of a certain age (in other words: people old enough to remember them) , so the pressure to deliver worthy new mixes was high. Luckily, the few people who have heard the finished mixes so far, were very happy – hurray! Keep a close eye on the Almighty site for the release of these new mixes: www.almightyrecords.com

Also, the release of the Peter Wilson single Stereo is advancing rapidly. The single, produced by the P.W.L. legends Dave Ford & Ian Curnow, will include a Matt Pop mix that was done in the style of some of the P.W.L. records from around 1989 (for those not initiated: they were the production team behind some of Kylie’s, Jason’s, Rick’s and Bananarama’s biggest hits). Mastering on the full-length Peter Wilson album, also called Stereo, is almost done, and that album, largely produced by Matt Pop, is scheduled for an April release.  There are other Matt Pop projects in the pipeline, too, so more info to come. Phew!
