This Thursday, January 29, our favourite Italo/Euro/NRG station Club 80’s are doing a special about me. I chatted for a long time to presenter Will Reid about a wide range of topics – well, music, basically – and this interview will be cut into digestible chunks, interspersed with many fabby tunes. Always nice to have an exclusive on such shows, and this time I made sure it was something quite special. For the first time, anywhere, you will be able to hear a Paul Parker track I remixed, written by Paul and Miguel Cruz (original version produced by Miguel). It is a beautiful tune (sort of mellow, melodic Euro dance), Paul Parker‘s vocals on it are stellar, and Will Reid himself was immediately smitten when he heard it – or so he said. How many of you remember Luv’? This photo was taken last Friday at the studio of Hans Van Hemert (one half of the writing/production team responsible for all their successes) with him and singer José Hoebee, one of the original members ofcourse. Swedish synthpop darlings Italove release Too Late To Cry this week. According to many, this is their strongest single to date, with bittersweet lyrics and a killer chorus. The video looks amazing, too. Included in the release are the Matt Pop Club Mix and Edit, which take the song more into Dance territory, whilst still retaining the retro feel.
