I am back after an amazing weekend in Stockholm, where the official ABBA Fanclub celebrated their 30th anniversary during several events. The Friends And Fans Day at ABBA The Museum was made unforgettable by a surprise appearance of Benny Andersson, who sat down at the piano and played Thank You For The Music as everyone there sang the words back at him. I posted my full video of that very special moment on YouTube. Many people whom I only knew from their Facebook or YouTube postings were in Stockholm, too, and it was wonderful to actually chat to some of you face to face. I also spent a good half hour inside the studio of painter Julius Kronberg, the location where ABBA shot the famous sleeve image for their last album The Visitors, which was utterly magical. And at the ABBA Disco, Saturday night at restaurant Solliden, located in the Skansen park and open air museum, 3 Matt Pop ABBA mixes were played, which actually resulted in a round of applause at one point, leaving me feeling quite blessed. All in all, not bad going for a 4-day trip 🙂
