Today was the official press launch of The Story Of Luv’, the book about the ultimate Dutch pop act Luv’, who sold millions of records world-wide during the late 70s and early 80s. The book contains a cd featuring all the hits, plus 3 bonus tracks, two of which are new Matt Pop remixes. The full tracklisting is below. This was the first time I saw the finished book and I can honestly say that it is pure joy to leaf through the many stories, articles and memories, and see the hundreds of photographs, from mega-glamorous to disarmingly candid. Some of the photo sessions have to be seen to be believed, giving new depth to the term cheesy. Wonderful 🙂  Tomorrow is the fan day, where Luv’ fans can get their hands on the book and mingle with fellow pop lovers. José and Marga will be present, too. Next month sees the release of The Story Of Luv’, a book+CD about one of Holland’s most famous pop acts of all time. Featuring interviews, anecdotes and personal memories from people around the group and their fans, plus personal contributions by Marga Scheide and José Hoebee. A full international discography is included, as well as hundreds of photos taken by famous photographers, many seen here for the first time. The book is in Dutch with short bios in German, English and French for the international fans. The accompanying CD includes all the Luv’ singles plus three bonus tracks: The delicious Dutch nursery rhymes medley “3X3 Is Disco”, plus two Matt Pop remixes made using the original 1979 vocals.There will be a Luv’ fan day on May 2nd, where the first copies of the book will be presented to Marga and José at the world-famous Wisseloord Studios in Hilversum.
